Calling all agents from Maryland, DC, and beyond!
The Maryland/DC CRS chapter is inviting you to its general membership luncheon on March 18. This is a special because it open to ALL agents - not just CRS - and the subject matter is perfect for Rainers. Blogging, Facebook, LinkedIn, the whole spectrum of social networking, as explained by Gee Dunsten. Listen to Gee reveal "What Your Kids Never Told You About Social Networking."
For $35 you get a full gourmet buffet plus 2 ½ hours of Gee's knowledge with plenty of time for Q&A. And the luncheon is being held at the Suburban Country Club of Baltimore, known for its great food and beautiful venue.
Mark your calendar now for Wednesday, March 18, from noon to 2:30.
What do soles have to do with this? Shoes. New or gently worn shoes, to be exact. The Maryland/DC CRS Chapter project this year is "Soles4Souls" which distributes your old shoes to those in need in more than 40 countries around the world. To learn more, visit their website http://www.soles4souls.org/
Maryland and DC Active Rain members have already had some successful gatherings. How many Rainers can we get together this time? Go to the CRS Website to register now (space is limited): www.md-dccrs.com.
I'll be there – will you?

Darn it! I would love to come - but I will be on vacation. Someplace warm at least!
Sounds like a nice time! Enjoy!
Sounds like a great presentation and a worthwhile cause, Margaret. Will there be a web report of any kind?
What a soulful event. This sounds great. What's for dinner "sole"? (sorry)
Margaret, do you have to be a CRS to attend?
Sounds like a great topic. I'm newer to it. My husbnd loves social networking for personal and business and has taught me a ton. He has also been educating our daughter on the do's, don'ts, and repercussions in this arena.
James, Enjoy your vacation,
Bridget, Thanks for stopping by.
Bob, Not sure at this time.
Joan, You are such a good soul.
Pat, "This is a special because it open to ALL agents - not just CRS - and the subject matter is perfect for Rainers. Blogging, Facebook, LinkedIn, the whole spectrum of social networking" Can you join us?
Kathy, Writing about the do's and don'ts would make a great blog.
Hi Margaret..Soounds like a procesive Group of CRS members in Maryland. If I was closer I would be there.
I love the idea of passing on old shoes to those that can use them...mmm I'm thinking of a way to reduce the old shoes we have, and Jane's Shoe Rack,....Well better not go there yet :O))
I'm going to check out soles4souls.
Cheers, thanks for sharing :O))
PS: You Link above is not working for the giveshoes.org
I'd like to come.....but it's a long drive! :)
Wow... That sounds like an excellent place to be. I have to see if Mike comes back from FL in time for me to try and attend. Will keep you posted. I'm thinking that would certainly be a nice bit of eye candy to collect for the OBMR. :-)
If I were in Baltimore area Margaret, I would be there too!
Margaret - well that is a pretty timely event. Gee is a great speaker - saw him at Sellabration ini Hawaii in 2007. WE are doing a lot with social media in our Southern California Chapter adn trying to get more members involved.
Jeff
Fred, Thanks, the link is now working
Ann, Birmingham is a bit far for lunch.
CTann, Would love to see you in Baltimore. How is Mom In Law doing?

Jeff, It is a timely event and I love that it is right in my own town. Lucky me.
Margaret, you know I'm training for the Music City 1/5 Marathon. One of our sponsors is also collecting shoes for Soles4Souls. I've already taken several pair. What a wonderful cause. Happy Weekend. Connie
Connie, How is your Marathon training going? So proud of you! I think this is a good cause for CRS. Wish you were closer so we could meet!
