When you celebrate a special day with close friends, you don't want it to end. So I'm adding this follow-up to enjoy the 50th anniversary party of Anne and Milo Hruby all over again.

From the luscious dinner to the warmth and good wishes of everyone there, it was a magical time.
Anne is still glowing!

Lee and I are grateful to have found such good friends, and wish them many, many more happy years.

This is the follow post There's Gold in "Them Thar" Years! Happy 50th Anniversary!
What a nice tribute and some happily glowing people in those pics! I am excited to be coming up on my 35th anniversary. Amazing! Where did all those years go!
M- Your post is as beautiful as the event. But fifty must ve very special and worthy of note and comment.
Just beautiful... thanks for posting in Active Couples!
Janna, Congratulations on your 35th. We were all glowing with happiness on that special day!
Eloise, Thanks for your special comment!
Diane My pleasure. Thanks for stopping by.
What a great tribute -- and what a wonderful occasion! Congratulations and thanks for sharing this moment.
Margaret, what a beautiful wedding gown! What a tiny waist! And what a love story!
Wow! Fifty years. It's amazing that they have something this fantastic to celebrate.
OMG Margaret, in this day and age a 50 year anniversary gives us all hope and something to shoot for, thx for sharing this with us, it really is inspiring. ;-)
Margaret, I must agree with marti! Oh my, I would have to live to be very, very old to see that! In fact it might put me into the Guinness Book of World Records!
The gown is beautiful still to this day! And, how tiny it was! This is a true reason to celebrate love, laughter, tears, hugs, and the vows that kept them together. What a wonderful love story! Thank you for sharing this with us Margaret!
You look a bit in love yourself. Congrats on that too! Good to see you here. I know our Diary readers appreciate it too. Have a wonderful evening...
BTW, my spell check made me change to Guinness...is that right? Or, isn't that a beer? Sometimes I'm sure the spellcheck is wrong! I'm sure it is...right?
They don't look old enough to be married 50 years!
Joan, Easy to share such wonderful news.
Pat, That waist was so tiny that the mannequin was way too large. They had to open the dress and hold it together with dental floss. That was Milo, the engineer's doings.
Lizette, They are such a perfect role model.
mARTi, Amazing how very fast the time goes by when you are having fun!
Deb, Yep, Lee and I are a bit in love after 14839 days and still celebrating each one. "This is a true reason to celebrate love, laughter, tears, hugs, and the vows that kept them together. What a wonderful love story " You can spell anyway you like as long as you keep coming back!
Ann, I will be seeing Anne tomorrow and will share your comments.
Morning Margaret,
Nice of you to post tribute to your friends and their milestone. What an accomplishment in today's age when so many look at their commitment as temporary.
Hal, Fifty years is a wonderful milestone and it was an honor to be there to share it with our friends.
Margaret - what a wonderful post. So sad that so few make it to 50 years anymore. I kid my husband that if we make it to 50 he'll be 100! Two very good reasons to celebrate!
Connie, Here's to celebrating both milestones.
Margaret what a great tribute! I am sure they will be thrilled when they see this if they haven't already.
Adorable!
Margaret
What a lovely tribute. It is quite an accomplishment to withstand the trial and tribulations of a half century! Also very inspiring! Congratulations to the wonderful couple.
Bill, Anne was thrilled when I brought this along to a meeting last week.
Tony, Adorable is the right word.
Allison, That room was filled to overflowing with love and respect. They are such perfect role models for all of us. Thanks for your kind words.
Margaret,
Making it 50 years is an awesome accomplishment... What a great looking couple.
And you are a wonderful friend to let the world know.

Hey, Margaret. I love that they had her wedding dress on display. What a treat for everyone. Have a great weekend.
Ann, Thanks for your sweet words.
Jim & Maria,That was really special to see the dress. What a big deal to getting it on a mannequin that was way to big.
Margaret,
It really is awesome! I agree with Ann Alles, they do not look old enough..

Ann, They are even younger at heart. Thanks for stopping by.
50 years together is definitely something to celebrate that not everyone get to!
