Not Enough Sanitizer

We take the time to be informed and educated through TV, print media, the internet, Real Estate classes, and online seminars.  This is how we all learn.

This allows us to have good conversations and be quite social. But it can also hold us back by being on information overload.

For me, the highlights of the news are enough. No TV on all day! In fact, no TV. I don't need gallons of hand sanitizer to be safe at this time.

As a former RN, I practice hygiene daily not just when there is a Corona Pandemic. Washing my hands frequently has always been part of my life. Protecting others when there is a cough or sneeze is also a natural reaction and habit.

Just go into any public bathroom and see pocketbooks on the floor. Those same purses come into homes and visitors in hospitals. We see those bags placed on the kitchen counter and on beds. No amount of handwashing or Purell is going to help.

If we limited our obsession with media overload and being so darn educated, it would free up space for us to do some work.

On my way for my live radio program and a showing right after.

Totally agree Margaret!  I turned off my TV seven years ago, and I've never regretted that decision.  In fact, I have more peace and joy in my life as a result.

Hi Margaret- our daily walks help to keep us centered. We have limited the amount of time that we watch the news.

I'm so glad that you brought up not placing our purses on the floor. We wash our hands but forget what other germs we're bringing in.

Morning Margaret.

While we all need to take precaution, with all the hype, lately we need to be extra caution

Hello Margaret - finding what works best for you is important and when others benefit so much the better.  A teacher can help a student and in the process may gain additional insight.  A win-win.

Good morning Margaret. I don't need to be reminded to wash my hands. I am close to phobic about it and always have been. And I agree, that highlights are enough without the fluff! Enjoy your day!

I am fortunate that I saved all my hand sanitizer that comes from overseas travel on the kits they give. I am good to go.

James Dray A bit of extra caution is needed at this time.

Barbara Todaro You have it on the background but you are still working. Many are just watching and listening.

My gym just closed..indefinitely! Is yours open?

Great post and thoughtfully written too. I wonder about those hand sanitizers. They didn't exist when I grew up or raised my own kids. We practiced safe washing and hygiene. As for purses or backpacks on public rest room floors, I've seen it all too often. It makes me sick, especially when facilities don't put hooks on the door or the door won't close if the purse is too heavy. I really do believe, all women bathrooms should be designed by women and their needs should be taken into consideration.

I have likely wiped more surfaces in the past couple weeks, than I have in the past year.  I have become a fanatic.  I am of the age group where self-isolating is recommended.  I'm following that guideline as best as I can.

Myrl Jeffcoat Sure sounds like you are doing your part to follow guidelines. I'm finding the kids telling the parents what to do.

Hi Margaret:

One could be plastered in front of the TV or looking at the news on our phones 24/7, and things keep changing!

Hopefully people are being as cautious as possible, with washing hands and other health precautions such as staying home whenever possible.
