The home above was my listing, and it sold. The buyers, Jimmy and Dan, were represented by their friend and part-time agent who had their home listed.
While their home was on the market, they continued to follow my blog, visit my open houses and invited me when their agent held an open house on their property/
I asked their agent to join ActiveRain, talked about the benefits, the business opportunities and offered a private session. Being a dual career agent, she never took me up on the invitation.
Seven months after they bought my listing, I received an email letting me know they had terminated the listing on their house. They asked if I would consider representing them, knowing I would not discuss their home while still listed with their friend and agent. The answer was positive.
Their home was listed, photographed, blogged, and under contract in a week.
Here's what Jimmy and Dan had to say:
''Margaret embraces technology and uses it to her advantage in a very effective and successful way. The days of posting, on the internet, and hoping someone takes a bite are over with. Networking and social media are what gets homes sold today.
Having an agent that's so busy..... but still finds "HER" time to blog is priceless.
Just one of the 10 reasons she's now our new agent. ''
All the blogging you have done has inspired so many people and it's a pleasure to read all these wonderful comments each day. The energy you gave, in less than a week, to an old listing is just magical. The passion you have shown along with the speed in which you got our home under contract, at asking price, makes me somewhat speechless. And trust me that's a miracle in its self. Trust me when I say that if I ever hear of anyone looking to sell or buy a home the name Margaret Rome is the only name coming out of my mouth.''
Jimmy and Dan presented this piece below to show their appreciation.
This is a February real estate love story.
Thanks, Lisa Von Domek for hosting.
