Shortage Of Baltimore Condos

In our Baltimore area and maybe your area also, there is a shortage of larger condominiums. And there certainly is a shortage of new construction of 2 and 3 bedrooms. As a Realtor®, we are in the business of selling homes but that is not always the best for some buyers.

Each and every week, I receive calls from people who a need to move from a single family home to a condo, 55+ or adult living type situation. They are asking for my suggestions. Each week, I have to report that our area has slim pickings.

I can name all these places along with pet rules, condo restrictions, and amenities that buyers are requesting.

Some of these owners of large homes are looking for rentals...again not an easy thing to find in our area.

Many sellers are ready to put their home on the market but they have to find a place to live!

Good morning Margaret. No shortage of larger condominiums in downtown Chicago if your pockets are deep! Enjoy your day!

Wayne Martin We have downtown condos but people want to be in their familiar neighborhood.

Good morning, Margaret... as single family homes have gotten more expensive in the past couple of years here, more buyers are not considering condos and townhomes as an alternative to not keep renting.

Nina Hollander And our baby boomers are downsizing...all leading to this shortage.
