Dear Beautiful House

My owner wrote a letter to the home she is selling.

 No other words needed.

5601A Patterson Rd

''Dear Beautiful House,

You were built and created for my daughter, her family, and my grandchildren. You sit in the beautiful Long Green Valley where you can see nature in its fullest bloom thru all seasons.

The acres of beautiful white twinkling snow crystals, the breathtaking colors all over the acres of trees visible from the master bedroom, kitchen nook and almost every room in the house.

Beautiful birds chirping thru out all seasons. Geese landing in the next door pond. Deer locking horns to impress their potential mates. The fox, rabbits, squirrels, butterflies, chickens, fireflies, frogs and so much more- giving my family hours and hours of beauty.

Spring is so fragrant and absolutely looks like a canvas painting. My grandchildren experienced nature to its fullest. The little stream where they spent hours just sitting and watching the little fish and frogs play and swim. They got so excited walking to the next door farm when a pig, horse, goat, chicken or puppy was born. To watch the wonderment in their eyes was priceless. Every holiday brought more amazement to their world. Easter the helicopter dropping 5,000 eggs to be hunted and put in baskets, the big bonfire calling you back to base. Halloween and Christmas horse-drawn wagon rides.

Sneaking thru corn maze of a different theme each year, pie night day before Thanksgiving.

Wow so much to eat flavor after flavor.

No words can express holiday season! Christmas trees fresh cut, wreaths being decorated, horses all decked out, Santa ornaments, food, laughter…so so much fun and holiday spirit can’t be put in words. Yes,  House, I’m just beginning to tell you what joy you brought to our family.

You provided outside space all around you for my grandson to practice his basketball and baseball skills he excelled in. And most of all, House, I could watch them grow from my home. How many grandparents are allowed that privilege?

House, you are nestled and secluded amongst neighbors that are some of the kindest, helpful, loving, selfless people I have ever known. Always there for you no matter what.

Even though we are secluded, we are close to everything. Twenty minutes to Towson hospitals, Hunt Valley Mall, Pennsylvania, Maryland line, Jarrettsville, Jacksonville and 15 minutes to Belair.

We have horses, wineries, farms, schools, churches, peace and lots of nature and serenity.

We have everything, House!!

You have provided us with love, great experiences and quality of life not many can enjoy.

The walkout clubroom is so large we skated in it until the carpet was laid, air hockey and pool tables put in.

Watching all the equipment come in and used to make my granddaughter a top-notch contender in gymnastics. House, you made room for everything my grandkids needed.

The bedroom and full bathroom brought threats of other family members moving in permanently to your generous and spacious rooms. It was said a kitchen could be installed in and it could be a real FAMILY ROOM.

Thank you, House for an opportunity for my granddaughter to take riding lessons in our own neighborhood, to see their first peacock in our backyard, and to watch farmers do what their great-grandparents did!! Allow them to see firsthand how farmers work hard and see where their food came from. Their great-grandparents came from a family of 10 brothers and sisters and all grew up on a farm. House, you provided an education not many have available to them. You provided my entire family warmth, love security and education you cannot find in books.

Thank you, House!! ''

Dear Margaret,

Wow, how sweet. They must be sad to leave. Cannot think of anyone looking that direction, but sounds enchanting.

Now that is a great letter to help sell a home, getting a buyer to read it would certainly make them think of ALL the possibilities. Home Sweet Home.

Good morning Margaret. Sounds like a large home in a secluded area in the midst of convenience. A big family will find it soon and make it their home. Enjoy your day!

What wonderful words those are, Margaret.  I recently had the privilege of visiting the house I grew up in.  I hadn't been inside since 1975.  The changes were significant, but I could still remember old memories of warm times there.

Every home has a story, and that one is sure one of the best I've read. Beautifully written with a great deal of thought and love...
