Just Pick Up The Phone

There was a post written this week by Leanne Smith

She shares some very simple advice.

nutshell phone

In a nutshell, Leanne said...just pick up the phone.

This point is proved almost daily when callers, a bit surprised, say something like..."I expected a voice message."

'You were the only one who picked up the phone and answered my question."

A caller today said he left messages with two other agents with no return calls and another agent answered the phone with "hello" and he was darn sure that was not a person he wanted to work with.'

Real estate is not as easy as it looks but it is not as hard as it looks.

Are we all to busy to pick up the phone, return a call or text the person with a response?

Amen to this!  Not long ago I needed to get someone in touch with an agent for a referral - a ready-to-go seller in a hot market! Several agents didn't respond.  One did --- we have a brief convo, I got her in touch with the client, and now she' s got herself a listing!  Being responsive is a great way to keep ahead of the competition.

John Meussner Even in different time zones, you always answer or return a call quickly.

You probably got a call from Maryland this evening.

Dear Margaret,

It is tough these days, because we get so many solicitor calls, but better to do so, so you do not miss the good stuff.

Dörte Engel We do get so many but I have it set up so they only get through once. Rather take a few more unwanted calls, that I can hang up on, than miss a potential buyer or seller.

Getting a live human is always so much better than voice mail.

It is amazing to me that in this era when everyone is connected to the max with cellphones, etc., that more folks don't pick up the phone.

Chris Ann Cleland So much better. If you don't want to talk to a live person use slydial.

Myrl Jeffcoat People are so connected...until the phone rings! Then they don't want to be bothered.
