Marketing notes

Print advertising, word of mouth, radio shows, blogging, face to face networking, repeat clients, along with unique business cards and a catchy logo like

Sell Your Home With Margaret Rome

does not happen overnight and neither did

 the Nike Swoosh.

Everyone knows Nike

Placing a few scattered ads on the radio, in print media or an occasional ad on a restaurant placemat or park bench does not work!

Any form of advertising doesn't work if you "try it." Advertising is for future business not  "right now" business.

Waiting until your inventory is low, is not the time to start.

It is our job to remind them we are in business. It is not their job to remember!

Just a few notes on marketing the Rome Way.

I believe that lack of consistent marketing is the reason so many agents have a roller coaster income. They market heavily when they have no business, then slack off when they get busy - only to wake up unemployed one day a few months later.

Just this morning I talked with a new agent who was interested in one of my letter sets. She said she didn't think she needed 6 letters. I said "Yes you do." Then I explained why.

Marte Cliff  You are so right! Consistency is what makes the business work all 12 months. Hopefully, that new agent will listen to you. Always good to see you and I enjoyed talking with you this past week. I loved your post about "I and we".

Good morning Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland,

It is our job to remind consumers we are in business. If we market consistently with a good message they will remember!

Clever tie-in with the swoosh, Margaret!!

I agree, we're marketing for the future, each and every marketing/advertising piece we produce. That's why we have to be consistent - anything to avoid the dreaded roller-coaster real estate ride! LOL
