Hold The Date For Second Chance Wreckers Ball

Second Chance Wreckers Ball – October 13, 2018

Second Chance is hosting the Wreckers Ball to support their workforce development program. The ball will be held on October 13, 2018 at their retail facility at 1700 Ridgely Street in downtown Baltimore.

At Second Chance, we’ve made it our mission to hire and retrain individuals with barriers to employment. We reclaim reusable appliances, furniture, fixtures and materials, renewing both people and things to a fulfilling and useful life.

“People often shop at Second Chance and don’t realize we are a non-profit focusing on workforce development. The Wreckers Ball is a wonderful opportunity to tell the complete Second Chance story,” said Mark Foster the President and Founder of Second Chance. Guests will have the opportunity to hear directly from the people whose lives have been changed through training and employment at Second Chance.

Not only will you hear stories of the lives that Second Chance has changed, but the ball will feature live music by NightLife, dancing, games and a silent auction. Food will be provided by Mission BBQ and an open bar will serve beer, wine, and your choice of construction themed cocktails. The attire is “construction chic.”

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.secondchanceinc.org/wreckers-ball/

I LOVE Second Chance and have stopped by many times Margaret. I had no idea that they are hosting a ball though... "construction chic" I love that! Perhaps we should get a group together and go?

Sounds like a wonderful organization. We have a local church that does much the same thing... helping people get on their feet and taking lots of donations of everything from appliances to clothes and has a soup kitchen and job training.

I love these ideas and I hope more of them, and we have more more of the events to to come. Love and light!
