My post yesterday was how to make someones day.
And then I see this written by friend Andrea Bedard and I can say Andrea did more than make my day. I have so much respect and admiration for Andrea and our friendship which started right here on AR.
Thank you for making my entire week!!
This is a very short story about a toothache and a visit at my dentist and how I sort of ran into Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland and how it all reminded me to check in with my dear friend, and broker extraordinaire.
Margaret Rome, broker owner of Home Rome Realty, and I have known each other for a few years now. We have shared laughs and tears and crab cakes and blooming onions, too. Besides supporting and encouraging each other on a personal level, we always talk Real Estate, too, brainstorm ideas and solutions and do our very best to make our clients happy. But as life and business happens, we haven't been able to talk as much lately as we used to. And I miss that, and Margaret. If you have ever had the chance to chat with Margaret and have been on the receiving end of her words of wisdom and encouragement, you'll understand.
Margaret has been on my mind lately, perhaps because a lunch meet-up is way overdue or perhaps her birthday is this week, or perhaps both. And perhaps that is how she ended up at the dentist with me today. Well, not really in person but sort of.
Unfortunately, I have a mean tooth that has been bothering me (super mean considering that it was a holiday weekend!) but, fortunately, my dentist was able to squeeze me in today. As I was nervously sitting in the waiting room, I picked up a copy of Baltimore STYLE and flipped through the pages. I read a couple of articles, realized that I had missed out on a lot of fun events (it was the June 2018 issue) and then saw Margaret's signature "Too Late" ads and her picture smiling at me. And I can't tell you how happy that made me.
For one, I am incredible proud to call such a leader of our Real Estate community a friend. Secondly, I know that Margaret will be thrilled to find out where I came across her print ad and third because there was my sign that it was really - I mean REALLY - time to touch base with Margaret.
Dear Margaret, I've been thinking of you and hope your birthday week is going to be amazing (would you join me please in wishing her the happiest birthdays of all?). I will call you tomorrow Margaret! We will schedule our next lunch meet-up! I will see you soon! I promise!
Dear friends & consumers, Margaret is my referral partner for Baltimore City/County.. if you have a house to sell or know anyone who does, please call Margaret. She will have a "Too Late" sign on your property in no time - and provide guidance throughout the process like no other.
Also, pick up that phone and call that person you have been meaning to get in touch with. Don't wait for a tooth to ache.
