My Best Advice For A New Agent

My best advice for a real estate agent.

Go for a signature everyday!

Always be closing (ABC).

Today we negotiated and signed an addenda removing the home inspection contingency.

Each time you get a signature in real estate you are moving forward.

Some examples of these signatures are... signing a new listing agreement, signing up a new buyer client, getting a price reduction, contract extensions,  giving permission for a loan pay off, making a change to a contract, approving new addenda for lenders, getting a power of attorney, signing a home owner warranty, signing the myriad of forms at the settlement and finally signing the back of your commission check.

Realtors®  also sign up for continuing education, license renewal, seminars, webinars, meet-ups and purchasing new technology.

Ongoing learning in real estate requires signatures to stay up with day-to-day activities.

A simple formula for a business plan.

Focus on getting a signature every day!

"Focus on getting a signature every day!"

I like it, Margaret!  I like it a lot!

I love that, Margaret.  Go for a signature every day.  That IS moving forward... unless, of course, it's a rescission.  Then it is onto the next signature.

Myrl Jeffcoat So many questions about how to succeed in RE...this is it. So glad you like it.

Carol Williams You are so right...Even if there is a rescission ... someone backs out...you need signatures to move forward.

I am looking forward to your SCS.

Woody Edwards It's kind of basic...like picking up your phone even when you don't recognize the number.

Margaret:

I love this advice - "Go for a signature every day!" Makes so much sense and covers a lot of ground. I'd add sigatures on hand written notes and thank you's, too!

Have a wonderful weekend!

And my signature for the day is a release on a deal wherein the buyer can't get her loan! Bummer.....

Anne Corbin You got a signature but not the one you wanted. Better to find out sooner than later. Thanks for stopping by.

That's a different outlook!  There is always something a new agent can do to learn more about this complicated business.  And so many docs need signing!
