Questions When Looking For A Baltimore Condo

Are you thinking of selling your home and moving

to a more convenient type of living ?

Maybe a Baltimore Condo?

Condos are not  all alike...not by a long shot.

Homes, neighborhoods and buildings have a personality. You have to visit to see if the right personality is there for you. Some people can just walk into a lobby and know if the fit is right or not.

What are the monthly condo fees?

Do the condo fees include some, all or none of the utilities?

Is the condo age restricted?

What are the taxes?

Are there any present or scheduled assessments?

Is there assigned parking? Garage?  Is there an extra fee?

Is it a deeded parking space?

Who is the management company?

What kind of security is available? Is there camera surveillance?

Is there a back ground check for staff?

Does the condo allow pets? How many?  Size restrictions?  If not what about service and or emotional support animals?

Does the building have a second elevator for moving-in or repair back up?

Is there a maintenance person available for the building?

Is there a generator?

Is renting allowed?

Laundry inside the condo?

Is there storage space outside the condo?

Does the building have a first right of refusal?

Is there a front desk receptionist? What are the hours?

Is there guest parking or valet?

Is there a pool, tennis courts or community clubhouse?

How close is shopping, grocery and restaurants?

Proximity to public transportation?

Does the building have planned social events?

Is there a party room? Does it have a kitchen? What is the charge?

Is there a guest unit for out of town company?

Is there a resident manager?

Those are great tips, Margaret.  They would help condo buyers not only in Baltimore, but across the country!

Hi Margaret,
Too many times not enough questions are asked before buying a condo.  Buyers need to have a savvy guide to help them through the process.  That, of course, would be YOU in Baltimore.

Such great questions. People need all of these answered prior to making a purchase. Buyers can certainly rest easy knowing they have you on their side. D

Myrl Jeffcoat You are so right to ask these questions wherever condo are sold. Each building has it own set of questions needing to be asked.

Carol Williams These are questions I get almost daily. People assume that all condos have the same rules...NOT!

@debDebb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD Agents who don't sell many condos have a tough time answering these questions. Most time they are not even aware of what to question. Hope this list helps.
