Last month I wrote about a wonderful transaction
with some very special buyers.
And recently I came across this account written by my friend and colleague
Bridget "Mortgage Mama" McGee
"About 2 months ago, I was asked to join Margaret Rome on her Sunday at Noon radio show All About Real Estate on WCBM. It is always and honor and so much fun to work with Margaret. After the show I got a call from a lovely gentleman who told me that he and his wife were considering buying a condo, He lived in his home for about 49 years with his wife of almost 50 years! He was content where he was, but knew that his wife really wanted to get into a place with less maintenance.
They hadn't had a mortgage in over 30 years and I knew that this was going to be a loan process where special care was needed. We met to get the intial paperwork. for the prequalification, within just a few days he called Margaret to let her know they were ready. The 4th condo they saw was THE ONE! They went under contract, and we met again to review the loan documents (a few more pages (and zero's!) than when he bought his home 49 years ago!
Today we closed on that new condo. At the end of closing the Mrs. leaned in and said "You must have done a great job on the radio that day, you really lit a fire under my honey!"
It is such a blessing to help people buy their first house, their last, and every one in between! As I was leaving as I wished them well, she said to me "I am so blessed! I could live for another 100 years and I would never find anyone who loves me as much as he does!" He sure does love her and it is so obvious how much she loves and adores him too! I am sure they will fill the condo with as much love as they have filled their current home!
Another reminder that Real Estate and Mortgages are more than sticks and bricks.
If you know of anyone looking for a well-maintained duplex in Windsor Mill (near exit 17), their well-loved home will be on the market soon, listed by one of my favorites, Margaret Rome of Home Rome Realty! Be sure to catch Margaret on WCBM at noon on Sunday's so you can hear "ALL ABOUT REAL ESTATE!" "
Thank you Bridget McGee!
