Repurpose A Post

Those of us who have been blogging for awhile may want to reuse those past posts in a different way.

Re purposing Margaret Rome

Some years ago, I wrote this popular but a bit controversial post that was featured and received a lot of comments.

Recently I have been asked to write an "Ask the Real Estate Expert"

I just go back and choose one of my previous blog posts.

This will be running in the paper this week.

Margaret Rome Ask expert

It basically is the copy from one of my previous articles.

Wonderful way to save time.

It's good publicity.

I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Are you re purposing any of your blog posts?

When you have a lot of wisdom it's wise to recycle some for a new audience.

Good evening Margart - yes I am re purposing mine.  Of course, I do change many things including the title.

Posted by Grant Schneider, Your Coach Helping You Create Successful Outcomes (Performance Development Strategies) 26 days ago

Hi Margaret,
I have been recycling quite a few of my old posts recently because I have a completely different audience than I did in the early years of AR.  Just going back and reading some of the old posts can give me ideas for spin-offs.

Recycling... not just for glass, paper and plastic.

Smart thinking.  I'm about repurpose some posts and through one or two in my newsletter.

SUCH valuable information, Margaret! We do the same thing (go figure!!) by utilizing old posts when someone asks a question. I love that you're using it in your 'Ask the Real Estate Expert' feature in the paper - great exposure too!

Happy Saturday! I hope you're doing well!

It can be pretty beneficial to repurpose a post now and then and I’ve done it quite a bit of my time

It allows you to kill two birds with one stone, (though I don’t like that expression too much) while getting everybody up to speed

Good morning, Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland that's a great way to use blog posts...and that's a good topic...... I would take exerpts of mine, when I wrote a monthly article in our newspaper....

Posted by Barbara Todaro, "Franklin MA Homes" (RE/MAX Executive Realty ) 21 days ago

There can be an unexpected CASPER THE GHOST kind of repurpose of content, too. I just took a screenshot of your “Ask the Expert” Response and am going to text or email it to a client. We have discussed the HOC strategy, but the wording of this post and the review of the concept with them again is very valuable. Seeing it in print from another source is GREAT!

Good morning Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland ,

I need to do this..what a great reminder. It's a wonderful way to save time and you are right, why reinvent the wheel when you have posts that can be changed and utilized again!

Well, darn - if you need a caller, text me, Margaret. If I'm free, I'm happy to ask a real estate question based on your topic for the day!

Yes - we should be doing this more often. I just finished saving all my evergreen posts to Google docs and plan to start repurposing in some manner. How many times do I have to reinvent the wheel??

Posted by Margaret Goss, Chicago's North Shore & Winnetka Real Estate (Baird & Warner Real Estate) 21 days ago

Debe Maxwell, CRS You are welcome to call in any time. The show is wonderfully humbling. Sometimes too many callers, sometimes none. The phone has been ringing after the show today. Love this unpredictable business called RE.

Great idea, Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland. Doing this would certainly be a time-saver! If it was popular once, it likely will be again and generally the information is still valid.

Practically everyone falls into this category so it's a topic that never gets old. The HOC will either work or not but it's a worth a try. If buyers are in a hurry to get in for reasons of their own, then there is not a match for this transaction.

Hi Margaret

Leave it to you to broach this subject and provide an incentive for re-purposing posts. And that topic you wrote about is an important one in today's market. Off to re-read your original post!

I am reminded that some of the great brands of merchandise will often go back in time and bring out some good stuff from the past.

I think your suggestion is awesome.
