In Baltimore we have all four seasons and sometimes in the same day.
Yesterday I was sitting on my front porch on a warm sunny day.
Today it was in the 60's but raining and tonight's temperature in the twenties with a forecast of snow tomorrow.
That's pretty much of a weather forecast for Baltimore.
We do not let our weather stop us from showing property year round. Some people do not want to go out looking in the rain.
If you are a buyer, it is important to see a house in the rain...not the ActiveRain but the liquid sunshine kind.
When I list a home, I want to see it when it is raining or has rained recently. This gives me the opportunity to check things like skylights, gutters, yard drainage, basement, sump pump, etc.
For buyers it is not a bad idea to do your home inspection with this kind of weather.
Quite some time ago ago, there was a home for sale.
The owner had 3 young children and a puppy. She insisted on an immaculate home for each showing.
Since it was such a production getting everyone out of the house, showings were not permitted when it rained.
Naturally I thought it was because it was too much trouble in inclement weather.
Not the entire story.
Later it was found out that the yard and enclosed patio porch flooded with each heavy rain. There was no signs of this in good weather.
Don't miss your chance to see the house in the rain.
