Best Business Plan...The Rome Way

 

Nope I don't make formal New Year's resolutions and I don't do formal business plans but I do have a simple formula that seems to work just fine. My plan is to get a signature every day possible.

 

 

 

Each time you get a signature in real estate  you are moving forward.

Some examples of these signatures are...

signing a listing agreement, signing up a new buyer client, getting a price reduction, home inspection negotiations, making a change to a contract,  approving a new addenda, getting a power of attorney, signing a home owner warranty, signing the myriad of forms at the settlement and finally signing the back of your commission check.

And we also give signatures. Some examples ...

 

 

signing up for continuing education, license renewal, seminars, webinars, meet-ups, E&O insurance, advertising contracts, radio contracts, letters to clients and purchasing new technology.

Learning in real estate requires signatures to stay up with day-to-day activities.

A simple formula for me...get my properties listed, sold and..

 get a signature every day.

Good mornng, Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland what a breath of fresh air.... I love it... no mention of the number of transactions or typical production... but rather how you get there.... you just keep those signatures coming.... and never run out of ink.... I love it.

Reminds me of when we bought our first house. I kept visualizing writing checks for whatever was needed, subtracting from the register, and seeing a positive balance … never giving thought or import to how much the balance was, just that it was there.

I love it! What a way to keep moving forward.

Your graphic took me back in time and made me laugh. When I was an agent we had a (smart alec, overgrown frat boy) lawyer in town who used to grouse because no matter how many "idiot stickers" he put on documents, people would fail to sign or initial everything.

Short, sweet, and effective.  If people are signing there are documents to sign.  If there are documents to sign business is being done.  If business is being done, our business is growing.  Nicely done!

If it's working for you, great, however, securing a signature daily is IMO a goal, yet to achieve that goal takes a plan to get the signature, doesn't it?

Thanks for the advice on the signatures.  I just wrote my signature...on a check that pays off our 2nd mortgage that 2 or 3 years ago had $80,000+ dollars balance on it.

Now that felt good.

Kimo Jarrett You are so right. It is not that easy and it's not going to work just because you say "sign here" to every one you meet on the street. However IF you are prepared ..you can put yourself in a situation each day where you have that opportinity.
