Staying In Touch Is Easy

There is a simple way to stay in touch with your past clients at the end of the year. Just pick up the phone and ask if they need any of their closing papers.

Yes.. I do know they received them at the settlement but they may not remember or cannot find them.

You can offer to email them, text them, fax them,  send a CD or put them in the snail mail. They might want you to send them to their accountant.

It really doesn't matter how.

Even if they have them at their finger tips it is a way to show that you are still being of service after the transaction.

Hmm...maybe I will remind my radio listeners to contact me if they have any questions about a recent closing.

What are some simple ways that you stay in touch?

Thank you. When all else fails, go old school. I appreciate handwritten notes myself so I love to send them

That’s a great idea, Margaret. I always send along the settlement statements at the beginning of January for all sales the prior year, but a call would be an even better extra touch.

I love that "Buyer or Seller" line in the address, Margaret.  Very creative, and I'll bet, effective.

I was so struck by that "Buyer or Seller" line that after reading a second time, I realized you're supposed to insert your client's name.  I was thinking it could work for prospecting for new clients.

In today’s day and age, it’s easier than ever to just say hello or two people know anything they need to know.

Handwritten notes are so rare these days, I think they are particularly effective.
