There Is Room For A Solo Broker

There is a lot of talk  in the industry today about “teams” and how dominant they are in this market.

Will the sole practitioner move into the background?

Maybe..

But I think there is room for a solo broker and weekly radio host.

Here is my way

The  Rome Way.

• Communicating with clients and making all appointments.

• Outsourcing tasks that take  time away from interacting with  clients.

• Choosing to work with clients I like and respect.

• Having a full pipeline with a waiting list for new clients.

•  Keeping a daily real estate journal also known as blogging.

For a brief period of time I worked in partnership with another agent.  It was back in the mid-1980s.  I fly solo, but know there can be advantages to the team experience.

Good morning, Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland of course there's room for a solo broker.... there's room for every well-versed real estate broker/agent.... some concepts deserve a team... other aspects of our industry do not....

Good morning Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland ,

There is definitely room for the solo real estate agent/broker! I do have a full time assistant who is not a Realtor..she takes care of all my paper work and frees me up to do what I do best..List and Sell.

Solo is a great thing for consumers when they discover that one size does NOT fit all. You have the ability to make a split-second decision on an isue that a big box agent might need to consult with a managing broker for the right next step. The 'Buck Stops' with Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland !

Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI NMLS#1483386 You are so right!  I love the ability to make split second executive decisions that was not possible with the big box company.

Margaret, I think going forward on brokerages it is all about having economy of scale. My wife and I make a lot of money being brokers out of our home.

Joe Pryor You have one more member on your team than I do. Hope you  and your wife are enjoying your brokerage.

I am in agreement with you..I think there is a room for a solo broker especially someone who got it going on..I also think that a solo broker can build an empire even if they don't have people working for them but have great systems in place... I like it the Rome Way...

Like Myrl I fly solo, but it does not mean that this is the best arrangement. I simply do not know a better one for me :)
