When Is A Bedroom Not A Bedroom?

There are many times when a buyer is looking for the rare, hard to find, 3 bedroom condo in Baltimore.

That extra bedroom is needed for occasional out of town company.

We have a wonderful solution in one of the condos I have on the market.

Have it both ways by making one room do double duty.

Take a look at this example of a Murphy bed wall system. Perfect solution... don't you think?

When the large bed is folded into the wall, this custom design is perfect for an office...even has the perfect desk. Check out the built in "night stands" and storage.

Thinking about finding that special home

I remember seeing the video with Italian designed furniture for such situations. It is so clever... So unexpected and so well uses space... Probably pricey

Those three bedroom homes are rare here also. This is a great solution.

Jane Peters Surprised we don't see more use of this kind of system.

Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland - very true. I thought that Italian design thingie was very compact, unbelievably creative and very clever. I don't particularly like Murphy Beds. To me they are like recently so popular those build outs for putting a TV. And now with flat TVs, what are you going to do with it?

The concept of convertible space is excellent, though

Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL I like the concept a lot. When someone needs to save money and space...this can be a good solution. Perfect for right sizing...moving from the big house but needing an extra bed for company.

That is using all the space available to it's best possibilities.  Not for me, however

That's more like triple duty Margaret! I love that extra desk, I don't think I've seen a Murphy bed with one before. Very clever!

Hi Margaret -- this is the ideal "accessory" to magically transform a room.  It's nice to see how these types of solutions are doing "double duty".

Hi Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland!  I actually planned my new house to have a Murphy bed built in the office as we added a full bath in that room but, have STILL (2 years later!) not gotten around to having one installed!  I love them - they're so space efficient - and many of them are very nice 'accessories' too!

Hi Margaret - That's a great space saver idea. Thanks for sharing it - I know of a couple of clients that will be very interested in it.
