She Didn't Answer Her Phone

I was thinking of a title for my blog.

Here are a couple:

'No answer, she must be dead."

" No return texts, she's fallen down the stairs"

Emergency

I have truly spoiled everyone with my predictability.

I answer phones. I return calls. I respond to texts.  I blog every night.

My friend, who follows me, missed my last post.

(It was boring with only one comment. )

She sent a text and called.

I didn't answer!

With no scheduled appointments... I decided to take the morning off.

When I do check my phone...it is blowing up at 10:30 am.

There were a lot of missed calls.

My best friend, a favorite couple, my daughter who was traveling, my son   and daughter in law Florida...all called within the hour.

How lovely all my special people calling at the same time.

What a coincidence!

Uh uh, not so.

They were worried and were ready to send the national guard and the emergency crews to check on me.

Why?

Just because I didn't answer the phone.

Margaret, I can attest that you do indeed answer your phone!  No wonder they were all worried! And glad you're fine.

Margaret

That's the funny thing about being predictable. When you aren't it raises a red flag.

Obviously you are well-loved to have such a group watching over you and missing you when you don't answer!

Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland - well, the fact is, they all love you and care for you, isn't it?

That's how people react if I'm ever late, Margaret. Nice that everyone cares so much, but on some level it feels a bit of an "over to top" reaction.
