After writing last night's post This is what happiness looks like, I realized how lucky I am to be in real estate. Each of my buyers and sellers are special and each one has a story to tell.
How they found me and who referred them makes each one as unique as the properties I represent.
Each listing transaction is different. Some are short...those are the ones that come into my life, sell a house and move away.
But more often than not, friendships and connections form.
How does this happen?
By selecting people I really want in my life.
Each and every client are first class and special no matter what the price range.
By limiting the number at any one time, I can continue to give each of them the first class service they deserve.
When I first got into the business there was a seasoned agent who asked how I liked RE. My answer "I love it." She responded "that's because you haven't been in it long enough."
Several years later, this same agent asked me the same question and received the same answer. ''Yes, I still loved it.''
She found that hard to believe so I asked her:
"Don't you like real estate?
Her answer was quite negative..."How can anyone like this business?"
With this attitude, I asked why she would stay so long in a career. She said "This is where I can make money.''
I made a vow that day. If I ever said I did not like what I was doing. I would quit. So far in over 2 decades, I have never felt that way. And I can honestly say....
I am still
Loving Real Estate.
