Good blog.  I really don't know how most people organize.   When I have taken a break from real estate in the past I was a corporate accountant.  I have shown my son where everything is so I feel pretty comfortable.  I think I will question him tomorrow just to check.

We have it all listed where our kids can find it. It may take a day or two to collect their thoughts but then they could find assets and bills and go to work. This is a gift you can leave to your family.

Margaret, I’ve got this covered.  I’m just wired that way.  My desk and office space is where I spend a lot of my time … it darn well better be tidy and organized. Otherwise, I would not be able to focus on my tasks.

It is so true that paper can be the worst or only challenge for some people!! And it's a marvelous aspect of our profession that there are Organizers who specialize in paper, others who specialize in photos, people who specialize in clients with especially severe challenges, for example caused by brain injury, specialists in assisting seniors to downsize.... So many skills for so many needs.
