Use Active Rain As A Spring Board For Your Listings

A Spring Board For Your Listings

Spring Board Margaret Rome

Rich wrote a post Not just another dumping ground.  I have a different take on this subject. I will always post my listings on AR and use them as a spring board.

The listings can then be linked to the neighborhood,  area attractions,  local restaurants and events.

It is a great way to give our listings exposure. For example if you search my Farm on 1560 Blue Mount Rd you would come up with  dozens of articles. And one was an article written by a reporter for the BaltimoreFishbowl.com.

After all, it is my job to get my properties seen as much as possible.

ActiveRain blogging provides another tool in addition to my print media, website, MLS and radio show.

When someone finds a good restaurant or local attraction, why not link it to the listing in that area.

It gives the place of business, as well as the property, extra exposure.

So don't think of  ActiveRain as a dumping ground.

Think of  the many ways to get lots of information about a neighborhood, city or complex out to the public.

And to use this platform as

Right on Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland Great advice for all listing agents. Exposure and more exposure sells houses.

I agree with you. I think it also depends on how it's presented. I've seen some pretty pitiful listing posts on here with one photo and a one liner

I use my AR listing posts as a springboard as well.  Main photo and a good description with a link to my site.

We are a nation wide community of professionals. What might be trash in one territory might be my bread and butter. We share ideas not markets!

Getting exposure is what we owe our neighborhoods and listings.

I understand Rich's point but after you write 2000 posts about real estate; well!

ActiveRain IS a very good springboard to the public Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland .   It only fails when the users don't take advantage of it.

Deanna Early When you post a listing, you have many opportunities to write about interests that can be linked back to the property.
