Advice That Could Help You Become A Real Estate Rock Star

Advice That Could Help You Become

A Real Estate Rock Star

Pat Kennedy is running a contest asking for the very best advice that could help a rookie become a rock star.

My advice :

Find someone  you think is a success, someone you like, someone you respect and someone you admire.

With  permission... go suck their brain!

Shadow An Agent

Successful people like to share with  admirers. Find out how you can help that person.

Shadow them, offer to run their errands, put up lock boxes, put up signs, accompany them on an open house,  get their car washed, volunteer to go along if they are meeting a new client. Offer to be their chauffeur for a day or more.

Find things that will save that person time and a way for you to be in their company.

Do whatever it takes to spend time with this successful agent.

Be of value to them.

ASK what you can do.

By helping an established professional, that agent may just share the secrets of success.

Don't be afraid to ask and...don't be afraid to offer help.

Great advice, you can learn a lot from a mentor to get a head start in your career, especially a hard one like real estate that has no guranteed paycheck.

That is great advice!  If someone is successful, it seems useless to try and recreate the wheel.

Mentors are great way to start a business.  Do whatever needed to help them out and they will return a favorite

Margaret - Why try to reinvent the wheel when you can find someone you admire who is already successful, and hopefully they will be willing to help show you how to become successful too. You can help them, and at the same time, learn from them.

This was recommended to me when I started. Now I don't hear new agents ask as many questions and rarely ask if they can pick my brain. I wonder what that is saying?

Debbie Reynolds I think the newer agents feel they can learn it on their technology.
