Today was scheduled with back to back appointments...11:45, 1 and 2. As always, I called to confirm.  Well I didn't call the 11:45 since that appointment was just made, and acknowledged by text, last night at 10:47

Ariving at 11:30AM to turn on lights, open shades...you know the routine....I waited.

At 12 noon I  sent a text to the agent: 

"In the lobby and waiting."

He sent this text back:

"Hi I left an early morning message on your voice mail that my client was sick and canceled for the day. Sorry you didn't get it." 

 

Hmmmm the appointment was set up and confirmed via text.  I checked and there was no VM but...

Noah Seidenberg The appointment was made after 10:30 at night! And it was made and confirmed by text..why didn't he cancel by text?

I guess there is a good lesson here. Even if the appointment is confirmed the day before it doesn't hurt to check one more time. Where do those phantom voicemails go?

Annoying, but sometimes people leave massages on my cell #, and the message might not come through until 1-2 days later sometimes. But agent should have sent text, even if it said " just left u a VM"

That's why I don't do business after 7 p.m. We would have fresher info in the morning to work or not work with. People do get sick in the night,

That is a bummer, like you, I would think that if text message was the form of communication being used, that is how the appointment should have been cancelled.

I went round and round with an agent today about a showing I had scheduled for Sunday (today.)  They were insistent I had scheduled for Monday.  Nonetheless, no one ever confirmed it, like the listing agent said they did, so I am calling B.S.
