Green with Envy…Time to Smell the Roses

You might be green with envy when you see these stunning roses that TLH (The Lovely Husband) brought home to me the other day. While arranging them, I was really intrigued by the color. Have you ever seen green roses before? It has taken me a few days to get around to photographing them, hence they are not quite as fresh and perky as they were. These photos are untouched - look at the contrast to the small white flowers. Yes, they really are green and they are really pretty!

Green With Envy...Time to Smell the Roses
What's this got to do with real estate? Absolutely nothing…I just decided to take time to smell the roses.

Hi Margaret~ I am not green with envy over your roses! I think you deserve them everyday!
Hi Margaret...They are beautiful. It is amazing what they can do with flowers these days. It's a wonderful thing.
Kate
I have to say. . .they are really lovely! I adore roses and can't wait for the ones outside my dining room window to start blooming!
Hi Margaret. Those are pretty roses. Thanks for sharing the unusual color.
Margaret,
Comparing them to the white flowers really shows off the contrast. I can't recall ever seeing a green rose.
Rich
Vickie, Thanks for being my first comment. You always have the sweetest words!
Kate, Yes it is remarkable what can be done with flowers.
Lori, Please share your roses when they are in bloom.
Tamara, Thanks for stopping by. I like that you are helping people rent their Florida homes.
Rich, My first green roses. Was not sure the camera would capture the suble color. The white flowers set them off.

I can't say I have ever seen a green rose. Who would think of engineering one. But they are lovely, as is the arrangement.
Lucky you, Margaret, and they are well deserved. I've seen green roses before - they are quite pretty but rather unusual.
You husband knows how to treat you well...and it's well deserved.
Jeff

Hi Margaret, I do have pics. I understand it is in full bloom now and she is having the Idewyle Garden club soon. I will have to do a post for her.
I love looking thru your blogs when I wonder how things are going in Baltimore and the MD area, Thanks!
Hi, me again, here is the link http://www.idlewylde.net/eventes.html
The date is June 26th, I will try and do a post about her garden prior to that.
Christine, I am a bit late to comment (6 months to be exact) but will go check out your link.
Margaret
I have never seen anything like that before. You are one fortunate gal to have such a thoughtful husband!
Dan, That is for sure!
I am enjoying the flowers more, now that I photograph and share them here on AR.
