A Reassuring Buyer

It's usually me, the REALTOR®  reassuring everyone during a transaction. 




Here's an example of a buyer stepping up, reaching out to reassure both the seller and me. 


 Note from my buyer to me:

Hi Margaret. Hope you’re staying in and safe. What a trip this has been! 
Wanted you to know I sent the following note to (seller) this morning. I’m sure you’ve come to the same conclusions I have, but I thought it was important to put it out there sooner rather than later. Anyway, let’s see how this plays out. But we need to remain flexible. If something happens with mortgage rates and they drop considerably, then we’ll start a clock. But since I haven’t locked in with (lender) yet, I don’t think we’re locked into May 7 yet. So let’s revisit this in a week or two and see where we are. I don’t want to put anyone at risk and since we’re all supposed to stay at home, I don’t think  (sellers) can even travel up here to move out. What a mess! Anyway, let me know what you think. 
Note from my buyer to the seller:
“Hi (seller). Just checking in with you guys, making sure you’re staying safe. I’ve been at my daughter’s house since all this started. So there are worse places to be, I imagine. At least I can help with my granddaughters so my daughter and son-in-law don’t go crazy. 
I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, as I have, that we need to remain flexible on the closing date. Believe me, I want to be able to move sooner rather than later. But now with the “stay at home” and social distancing extended until at least April 30, I think we just need to keep an eye on it. I don’t want you guys to feel rushed and I don’t want you to be in any danger, traveling so far when everyone is supposed to be staying home. So just wanted to touch base and get your thoughts. Rest assured, this will happen. But not if it puts any one of us in danger. If it’s safer to push it out a month or two, I’m ok with it. Let me know what you think.”

 For sure, I have the best clients in the world.
